Local spot, nothing fancy but prices are good, service is quick and bagels are fresh and soft. I was wildly hungover this morning and their SEC honestly saved my life so giving respect here where it is due. They also have a good amount of seating and fresh squeezed oj!

Best bagels in NYC! Absolutely delicious bagels - can't recommend this place highly enough.

I want to update my review because I have become a somewhat regular here and really have come to appreciate this spot in LIC. The bagels here are by far the best in the area and their breakfast sandwiches are consistently good. I normally get a sausage egg and cheese, but their bacon recently has been extra good and would recommend that. Only critique is the bagels sometimes don't have enough toppings, but they are always fresh and tasty. Disregard the 3 star rating!

Solid bagel spot! I'm quite surprised by the low overall rating. I live in Brooklyn and ended a run to LIC at this bagel shop. I got two bagels, Cree cheese and lox to go and made my bagel sandwich at home. I liked the old-school authentic bagel shop vibe, staff were friendly and fast. Seems like ordering a bagel sandwich there can take longer. I thought the bagels were quite delicious, the lox wasn't amazing but was good. I'd definitely go again if I'm in the area!

Sorry the bagel was so nice and hot with the soft inside and slightly crispy outside all buttered the entire bagel was soooo good I forgot to take a picture....but I will be back for more goodies I saw like a sweet Danish with cream and cherry sauce in the inside I am going for....yummy not so crowded their is seating the counter service was so nice I like how it's close to the highway so if you know you know

BEST BAGELS IN THE AREA!!!!! I am really not sure why this place only has 3 stars because it is probably the most authentic bagel shop in the area. This is a no-frills bagel shop. You place your order at the counter and pay at the cashier. There's ample seating inside too. There's always a morning rush around 7AM, but that's how you know this place is good. Sometime service can be slow, but I always see the same lady working everyday here so i'm sure they're just understaffed sometimes. They also have gluten free bagels (plain and everything) made of brown sugar and sorghum flour! The texture of these bagels are great, my boyfriend was surprised at how good this gluten free bagel was. If you're looking for solid bagels, i'd highly recommend Bricktown.

I think it's the best bagel in the neighborhood, with We Bagel a close second. Much like old LIC (pre-Amazon almost coming), this place is rough around the edges but still good at what it does. The bagels: delicious each time I have come (3 times in 3 months). Soft on the inside, slightly crisp outside, and chewy all over. The wheat everything and cinnamon raisin were great, the sesame is better than average. The bacon egg and cheese, a NYC measuring stick for breakfast, is always good and not too salty; FYI the bacon is super crispy, for those of you who prefer it softer. The lox and cream cheese sandwich is really amazing, as good as the fanciest ones I've had in the upper west side; who needs Barney Greengrass? I will have another review for that place later... The service: this is the one negative point. They are efficient but unfriendly, and they don't seem to have much patience but hey, there's probably 10 customers behind you so get moving! They also give you 2 napkins and seem a little stingy on the condiments. The ambiance: wow, love the gritty yet classy ceiling. It's brass color and design makes you feel like you are back in time, when Sinatra would come here after a long Friday night gig. Lots of seating and 4 long tables good for bigger groups. The price: very fair for the quality and cheaper than Manhattan...which is so very on brand for LIC
